Today we celebrate Renu Oberoi, a Chief Librarian at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran, Mohali, has over three decades of transformative experience in academic librarianship. She holds an M.Lib.I.Sc., M.A. in English, and B.Lib.I.Sc., and has been serving at CGC Landran since 2021.

Previously, she served at PG Government College, Sector 11, Chandigarh, for 28 years, where she pioneered inclusive library services by establishing a Braille section equipped with JAWS software, a rare books corner, and a Le Corbusier Heritage Gallery. She also contributed significantly to the digitisation of institutional resources and archives. At CGC Landran, she oversees 11 campus libraries, managing library automation systems such as KOHA and LIBSYS, while fostering a vibrant reading culture through an active Readers’ Club and student-led book donation drives. She also chairs the POSH Committee and supports institutional accreditations, including NAAC, PCI, and NBA.

A dedicated leader and advocate for accessible, inclusive, and technology-enabled libraries, Renu remains committed to transforming library spaces into dynamic hubs of learning, research, innovation, and community engagement. Her lifelong dedication to empowering learners through libraries reflects her unwavering commitment to advancing the profession of academic librarianship.

A librarian can change a child's direction with the books they recommend or introduce, and a child not only deserves but also builds their own connections with books! 📚 Yogapriya is librarian at PMIST, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. Driven by her love for books, Yogapriya made the bold decision to leave her corporate job and pursue a Master’s degree in Library Science. Today, as a school librarian, she feels she has found a meaningful place for herself. She hopes to give children the same gift that books gave her—the confidence to dream, the courage to discover themselves, and the belief that they can become more than what others expect of them. For Yogapriya, librarianship is more than a profession; it is a part of who she is.

Tenzin Dhage, Librarian at Trisong Library, strongly believes we must never stop learning. "As librarians, we learn not just from books and fellow professionals, but also from children. Their compassion, willingness to share, and fresh perspectives can teach us valuable lessons. Learning can happen anytime, anywhere, and from anyone—if we remain open, curious, and willing to learn."

📚 Born in Lugsam Tibetan Settlement, Bylakuppe, Tenzin is a Tibetan refugee whose love for reading and listening to stories began in childhood. Today, as the librarian of Trisong Library, a public library administered by the Tibetan Settlement’s Co-operative Society, she is finding ways to share that love of stories and books with others. Tenzin’s journey as a library educator began with the Library Educators Course (LEC) offered by Bookworm Goa, which helped her take her interest in reading into the world of library education.

A mysterious death, a missing temple jewel and a young widow who refuses to accept what she is told. Aditi Krishnakumar builds the mystery through cleverly placed clues, conversations and relationships that reveal more than they first appear to.
